Operation Education

 Operation Education is an initiative from the Iowa Giving Crew designed to support schools with the greatest needs in our community by addressing gaps and providing essential resources. 

What is it?

 Operation Education is a grant program created to supplement the fundraising efforts of parent and teacher organizations in schools that have minimal or no PTO support. Focused on schools where more than 60% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch, the program’s mission is to promote equity and ensure that every student has access to the best possible learning experience. 

Eligibility

Schools must have a minimum 60% population of free and reduced lunch. All requests will be considered, priority will be given to initiatives based on the scale of the impact that the grant will provide. 

Application Process

 Each application will be reviewed by a selection committee and may receive full or partial funding if chosen. Awards will be based on the committee’s evaluation priorities, community impact, and the total funds available. Funding is limited to the designated term, and applicants must reapply annually for recurring programs.
